Argan oil, the latest miracle ingredient used by many renowned international leading brands in the beauty and cosmetic industry is the hottest talk in town.

Originating from the South Western part of Morocco, Argan Oil, made from the nuts of the Argan Tree, grows almost exclusively in this region. Due to its ecological and economic benefits, UNESCO designated the 10,000 square-miles Argan-growing region as the Reservation of Biosphere (RBA) in 1998.

Traditionally, the know-how of oil extraction is passed down from generation to generation and it is only women who make Argan Oil. But now that the oil is being exported worldwide, a mechanized method of extraction has been developed for standardized quality and hygienic standards from harvest to packaging.

The oil, which is said to have restorative and age-defying effects, supports the regeneration of the skin. Its exceptional content of unsaturated fatty acids helps in the restoration of the hydrolipidic film of the skin and in strengthening the barrier function of the skin.

Linoleic acid present in the oil has three times concentration higher than in olive oil. As an essential fatty acid it has a key role in preserving cell integrity. Rich in natural tocopherols the oil acts as an excellent anti-free radical, anti-stress activities and natural self-protection against oxidation.

The oil is believed to help all sorts of skin conditions: dry skin, acne, psoriasis, eczema, and wrinkles.

“The reason I started using the oil is because of my post pregnancy stretch marks. The results, FANTABULOUS! About 90% of my unwanted post pregnancy appearance have vanished tremendously. It has the same effect with visible scars on the skin”, said Pial Khadilla Abdullah CEO of Asia Natural Essentials Sdn. Bhd.

The women of Morocco use it to strengthen, boost and injects life to brittle hair and nails. They also use the oil for the treatment of teenage acne, chicken pox and to alleviate the articular rheumatisms and pains.

When applied to the skin, the oil spreads smoothly and penetrates and absorbs rapidly without leaving an oily or shiny effect. Famous for its nourishing, regenerating and protective properties, Argan Oil is the beauty secret of Moroccan women.
